There are at least two very different types of shopping guides -- traditional "where to go" shopping sites and the more recently evolved Consumer Shopping Engines (CSEs) like PrceGrabber and Shopzilla. Where traditional sites tend to have a more local focus on, say, where to buy shoes in Manhattan, CSEs let you select from thousands of merchants from around the world. For clarity, "shopping guides" on MassGuides refers to the former type and not CSEs, which are covered separately.
